A fun competition for Barebow, Traditional Longbow and Asiatic bows is to be held at Pennell Reserve Braybrook on the 21 March 2026, which is open for all current Archery Australia members.
Only one round, AA 40/720, will be shot and all allowed bow types will compete together. All age classes will compete In the Open Category.
The AA 40/720 round has been deliberately chosen as a round that is not normally used in competition and hence is a bit of a novelty and should challenge all archers. Bow inspections will be undertaken before official practice begins.
A BBQ lunch will be available after the competition while results are reviewed and awards determined. Lunch will consist of sausages, hamberger patties, salad and rolls with a drink and sweet treat. Sorry but we are not able to cater to individuals with specific food allergies.
All those who wish to participate in the provided lunch are requested to select the option (Yes or No) when getting your ticket.
Due to the limited space on the range only the first 24 entrants can be accepted. Non Southern Cross members will be charged a fee of $20.00 for the day, payable on arrival. Please bring your tickets on the day.
Entrants who find themselves unable to attend for any reason are requested to notify Southern Cross by email to southerncrossarchery@gmail.com as soon as possible so that we are able to allocate your place to someone else.
